October 29th: But I can’t speak Spanish!
This morning I needed to drive in to Salt Lake to make a car exchange with Meggan. She and Alex were both working all day and they’d lined up someone to take care of Bucky and Sadie. When I stopped to put some gas in the car I noticed that there was part of a [...]
October 28th: Cereal with whole milk
I had some cereal this morning with whole milk. Wow! What a concept!
October 27th: The gift of the nap
I did something wonderful today. I gave my wife and my daughter and my granddaughter a gift. I gave them a nap. Put them in their napping spots, closed the doors, plumped their pillows took Bucky on an adventure which took all afternoon.
I’m currently patting myself on the back…taking full (and I man FULL) credit [...]
October 26th: Giving vs Receiving/Listening vs Talking

October 25th: Wipe Out
I think the weekend took it’s toll. I’m wiped out, but whatever effort was extended, it was more than worth it. I require nothing more today than the quiet feeling of gratitude that has filled me up.

Before today’s drive I thought all those weather channel shows about the power of nature to move man and beast I would have rolled my eyes and said something about special effects. No more. I experienced a [...]
October 23rd: Dracula in Denver
Flew into Denver today to catch a matinee of Bram Stoker’s DRACULA at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. My son Scott is playing a cool part in the play and I was excited to see him slaying vampires and speaking in the requisite period British accent. Lynne and her best friend from high [...]
October 22nd: Atlanta
The flight to Atlanta was great and when the plane touched down I had the M2B:) unexpected joy of being merely a short train ride away from the hotel and convention center where I’d be performing tonight. I was excited to return to Atlanta for Time Out For Women but my mood was elevated (by [...]
October 21st: How Ya’ Doin’?
I don’t know exactly why this happens, but it happens to me every couple of weeks. I get this feeling I need to call someone I know and the feeling won’t let go until I make the call. I used to think that the one I called probably needed a call that day and [...]
