July 24th: Bucky’s Birthday

Bucky’s 4…well, tomorrow is the actual day, but the party was this afternoon.  He’s four.  Boy, is he EVER a four year old!!! And I LOVE it!!  I loved him the second he joined the family, and I love him more today.  I’m so grateful I get to be a grandfather.  Still figuring out how to do it, and probably will keep working on it as Bucky and his little sister Sadie grow up.  But I’m happy with my role as Bucky’s TAPPAW. And I’m happy that the Thomas The Train Cake was sooooooo good.

Grandchildren are Heavenly Father’s blessing to us to try again and perhaps, at least for me, do a better job. We get another chance to see through the eyes of a child and share in the wonder of nature and to be humbled by simple prayers offered and to take time to hug and listen and teach as they look up at me with eyes wide open and their hearts shining through.

I love your music and appreciated the hero story and song. But this M2BHappy is perfect and I will join you…I started another blog just to detail my own moments of happiness. I have so many friends who so no happiness in their lives. I didn’t want to follow suit. So thanx for another inspiring moment.

Me, too. Still learning. And really? Very happy that the old saw about how grandparents get to wave goodbye fondly at the end of a visit and not be responsible? Yeah. I feel that.

    Hi Michael,

Thank you so much for doing the fireside tonight. It was an incredible experience for all of us. You put on an awesome show! Brent and I are so impressed with you as a person. You are definitely a celebrity, but you are such a great people-person, you make us feel right at ease. Granted, we have a personal connection, but even then you have always been so kind to us. You are truly interested in us and what’s going on in our lives. I was so impressed watching you with my friend, Kristi. Usually she is very introverted and shy–and you were able to pull her right out of that. She had the greatest time. Thank you for doing that for my friend, and for touching my Spirit tonight. I’m glad to find your happiness blog. I’ll definitely follow it from now on.

We’re looking forward to the Forgotten Carols!
