May 25th: I can barely move

I’m writing about May 25th on the 26th because yesterday’s M2B:) moment lasted SEVEN AND A HALF HOURS and when I returned home I was way too worn out to get to my computer.  I guess that’s what happens when an old guy in a young guy business spends the day on a GREEN SCREEN sound stage working on MUSIC VIDEOS for Mission To Be Happy.   Don’t get me wrong.  I was SOOOOO happy to be working with hip and happening guys who brought great ideas and enthusiasm to the party, and kept telling me how awesome these videos were going to be….they kept repeating, “just keep up the energy, Michael.”  I think once when I was looking a little weary they may have called me Mr. McLean, but I pretended they really said Dude, or Yo, Dawg.

It was all fun, because with Green Screen and the magic of technology I can be singing my songs anywhere in the universe.  Or at least, the recognizable universe.  And I believe some of the effects will be LOL views of a songwriter on a mission to be happy.

I just looked at a few of the production stills from the shoot yesterday and realized that we didn’t have enough budget for the digital facial peel (taking off 20 years, at least), the post production airbrush (shaving 15 pounds)  OR  the neck enhancing chubby jowl remover.   That’s the bad news. The good news is that my M2B:) adorableness apparently (so I’m told) kicked in while I bounced, danced, shuffled and strummed my way through 3 of my M2B:) songs.

I sure hope my M2B:) moment for the 26th comes sitting down.  I can barely move.

I am so excited you’re making music videos! Where/when will they be available?

I too have had a case of the threatening dooms lately. I had a huge moment of perspective this weekend. And while I can not move today either (for entirely different reasons), I decided that for this day, if only this day, it does not matter what the mirror shows, the scale reads, or even if I am the dreaded ma’am…I am humbly alive. And after experiencing what we did this weekend, that’s more than a M2B:)
PS. We love ya in any package-green screen or otherwise!

I have found the BEST MIRROR EVER. It’s in the East Bay Bajio’s Ladies’ room. Really. If you could have had them shoot THAT while you stood in front of it, groovin’, it would have been a totally in-budget fix for EVERYTHING. And now, after a day of movin’ to the groovin’, you can’t move. Well. BWAHAHAHAH

YO DAWG! You are awesome dude! Today I will cook, clean, wash clothes, run errands, and 50 other things that I do almost every day. When I go to bed tonight I will be grateful that I can still do all those things. :) I know all of your fans are happy you are still groovin’! Get some rest, Bucky will need you to play soon.

Teri, my mother always says that!!! This too shall pass……….

And then I tell her, “Oh yeah? So does gas!! But it doesn’t make it any less stinky or painful”! :)

Try being in your mid 30’s in a 70 year old body whose spirit is 20 and wants out of its prison!

Kristen, You make a distraction and I’ll steal those mirrors!!
