So there’s a new kind of shoe on the market. At least it’s new to me. It’s made by Skechers and it’s called the Shape Up. Last week my wife and daughter each got a pair from the Outlet Mall in Park City and they have been raving to me about how walking on these shoes all day not only feels terrific, but it’s tightening up their calves and tooshes. I asked if they made Shape Up shoes for guys and they said yes, so today I picked up a pair and have been walking around in them all day long.
The ads suggest that wearing a pair of Shape Ups is like going to the gym without actually going to the gym. There’s even a video that comes in the box that explains all the ways these shoes are worth the money. So I’m anxious to give a little M2B:) report on my first day wearing these shoes.
I have not lost any weight, yet. I do not have the legs, thighs and butt of a thoroughbred race horse, yet. My posture hasn’t miraculously improved, yet. I’m still a diabetic and need my pills for what’s broken in my brain. But walking around in these shoes makes me SOOOOOOO HAPPY! I don’t get it. Every step I take makes me smile. Here I am, walking up the stairs. Gosh I love this. Oh, here I am taking out the garbage. Cool. I’ll walk back the long way. Wait minute, I think I’ll circle back and double the length of the trip. Hey there feet, how do you like walkin’ in them Shape Ups? That’s what I thought. Could this be the best purchase of the month? Or year? Yep, I’ve got happy feet, and I’m not even dancin’ to Stevie Wonder tunes…..yet!

Oh, goodie. The doctor just recommended those to me today, and my sister is coming and wants to go up to the outlets. So maybe I’ll get some too!! That makes me happy!!
I have a pair I can “get away with” for work (the solid black leather looking ones), and then I just got the pair I really wanted, the black tennies. I enjoy them, they do make my feet happy too and I’ve noticed a miraculous thing- I don’t mind waiting in line so much anymore; I rock back and forth in my shoes, laughing, while exercising. There’s the “gel’in” commercials and maybe there should be some “rockin’” commercials.
Dang! If those shoes make you feel so good taking out the trash, I gotta get hubby a pair! hehe!
pssssst:horses don’t have thighs!! hehe! They have stifles and hocks! :p but nice rear ends..except when used in bucking!!
Funny yo share that. I heard two local radio personalities talking about them this morning. On a serious note, how do you find your balance in them? That is a concern to me. Maybe I will have to get a pair for walking the pooches.
