This will be short. I can’t give you the details right now – maybe later, but not now – there’s been some sadness in our family and the burden of it hit my wife during church. We hadn’t been there that long and she needed me to take her home. She was done. She needed a nap. She needed more than a nap, but I had no idea what to do or what to say, so I just held her hand and squeezed a signal: I’m here. I’m here. I’m here.
It may sound odd to talk about finding happiness when someone you love is hurting, but I did today. I found a sweet moment on a sad day by simply being there. How lucky am I that I have someone to be there for?

You are very lucky…..hope everything turns out OK.
So sorry that your family is experiencing this sadness. Everything will turn out the way it is supposed to. You are very lucky to have someone to love and hold and be there for.
Oh-oh.
Three squeezes. I. love. you. Sometimes that is all a person needs. Our prayers are with you.
To have someone be there for you. Someone to hold you, to share your burden…….it doesn’t take away the sadness or the pain but it sure helps. Sounds like you did the right thing!
No details are needed, our prayers are with you. Sometimes to have someone sit with us and hold our hand is the greatest of love.
I know i’m a week late, but thank you
